Switch to the employer versionA new program to help young people get their drivers licence was launched today in Burnie. The North West Driver Mentor Program will provide free access to a driver mentor to support young people to accrue the 80 hours require to sit their provisional drivers licence test. The program is supported by Jobs Tasmania through the Partnership Fund for Regional Jobs Hubs to form partnerships with not for profit organisations to deliver projects that address a gap in current service or support systems for people facing barriers to employment.
This project is a partnership between West North West Working and Youth, Family and Community Connections. The Tasmanian Community Fund has also generously supported this project to get it off the ground.
